Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, my music journey started with piano lessons at age 5. As my passion for music grew, I began exploring many other instruments and aspects of the industry. This passion inspired me to begin teaching in the hope of sharing my love of music with others. I have taught in both private and school settings - offering beginner to advanced lessons in piano, guitar, vocal, bass, and drums. My goal is to inspire the artist in each of my students and foster a love of music that may last a lifetime.
In tandem with teaching, I also work as a songwriter and sound engineer for DSCVRD. My experience in the music industry enables me to support students interested in pursuing a career in songwriting or production. In my songwriting and production lessons, I adopt a developmental model in which I offer support through each step of the process - from melody writing to booking live shows.
When I'm not teaching or working with an artist, my wife and I enjoy cooking, keeping up with new movie releases, and spending time outside with our dog, Teddy.
